Shalom International(SI) is a Protestant Christian church started on Jan 5, 2019 with a vision to be a church where new people find Jesus as the most wonderful, loving, powerful and glorious person in the universe. Shalom International will be a place where Christians grow to become the new creation Jesus meant them to be. Honorary Pastor Elmer Inafuku, who was born in Hawaii, came to Japan as a missionary in 1970. He started Shinjuku Shalom Church with a vision of restoring the Tabernacle of David. Pastor Elmer has nurtured and sent out many pastors and missionaries. He has led the church in producing new gospel praises by incorporating contemporary worship in the church since the early days of his ministry. He is now the President of the Rhema Bible School where he teaches the Word of God with passion.
